If you’re using YouTube to serve up your mobile ads, you may want to think of how to get your message across or make an impression in less than five seconds, as YouTube is now allowing users on Android devices the ability to skip the rest of the ad after that point.

YouTube says that 65% of pre-roll ads on YouTube now allow viewers to skip them. That penetration coupled with the explosion of content consumption on mobile devices made the ads’ extension a no-brainer, the company said.
